We offer Policy & Communications internships and fellowships throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters for college students and recent graduates.

In the office, fellows and interns are exposed to all WSS projects and tasks. Our programs provide a unique experience unlike any other in D.C. Interns and fellows develop an intimate understanding of the legislative process and the overall operations of Capitol Hill – from Congress and federal agencies to the private sector.

As a valued member of the team, interns and fellows get a hands-on opportunity to research, write, and gain insight on the inner workings of government and politics. A successful candidate will possess the ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities, be a proven team player, and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

The day-to-day activities and responsibilities of our fellows and interns may include drafting reports or public comments for clients, corresponding with Senate and House office staff, attending legislative and agency hearings and/or briefings, accompanying staff to receptions and events, and various other duties. As a member of our team, you will see an extensive and diverse assortment of public policy issues covered by this office.

Connections and networking opportunities are endless within the firm. You will have the opportunity to meet and work with a wide assortment of professionals in a variety of industries. The experience gained and skills sets acquired through our program will propel you past the average internship/fellowship and stands as a great step toward advancing your future career.

Candidates that are available full-time are preferred, though we will accommodate university programs or class schedules. The internship is unpaid with a possible travel stipend.
